WHO SHOULD ENTER?
The competition is open to any speechwriter from the public or private sector interested in winning recognition for their work. This includes, but not limited to:
- Speechwriters for CEOs, presidents, vice presidents and other corporate executives
- Speechwriters for association executives, such as the American Bar Association or the American Medical Association
- Speechwriters in the public sector who write for federal, state, or local government officials
- Speakers who write speeches for themselves, such as educators or politicians

Style
By using techniques such as cadence, transitional phrasing and modifiers, how does the speech flow and succeed in communicating its message.
Content
This does not mean message or point view. The thesis of the speech must be supported by accurate research and facts. The speech will not be judged on the point of view of the writer or speaker, it will be judged on the skill of its written presentation.
Organization
The thesis for the speech must be presented, defended and supported by the conclusion.
