There is still work to do. In a separate report, the New America Foundation cites a December 2007 Gallup Poll finding that only 10.5 percent of small to medium-sized independent businesses offer financial education to employees, with nearly 80 percent offering no education to employees at all and with no plans to do so.¹⁷

For financial firms and businesses alike, the message is clear—going back to school is a wise investment for all.
