McMurry Makes Top 10 on Best Places to Work List

For the seventh straight year, McMurry has been ranked as a top 10 Best Small Workplace in the U.S. on the annual Great Place to Work® 2012 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published today in FORTUNE magazine. At No. 9, it is the only small company in the entire U.S. to be honored with Top 10 placement each year since 2006. This annual list recognizes U.S. companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. In its ninth year, the competition is divided into two categories, Small (50 to 250 employees) and Medium (251 to 999 employees).

“Receiving this honor, especially the honor of being the only company to be in the Top 10 for seven straight years, is unprecedented, and is such a testament to our commitment to hiring the absolute best people and operating with a values-based culture,” says President Fred Petrovsky. “Not only is our continuously winning workplace possible because we bring the right fits onboard and keep them happy, but our company’s growth and successes are also results of this commitment. Since first ranking nationally in 2006, our revenue has grown around 70 percent.”

McMurry was selected among hundreds of companies vying for a place on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
