McMurry Named One of Arizona's Most Admired Companies

SEPTEMBER 17, 2010

Phoenix—McMurry has been selected by Arizona Business Magazine and BestCompaniesAZ as one of 43 winners for the inaugural Arizona's Most Admired Companies Awards (MAC), based on employee, customer and community opinions.

Arizona's Most Admired Companies are selected based on how a company has performed in the following areas: workplace culture, leadership excellence, corporate and social responsibility, and customer opinion. This is the most comprehensive and most prestigious corporate awards program in Arizona that recognizes the contributions and impact these "most admired companies" bring to the state.

"We're honored to make this inaugural list of admired companies," says McMurry's vice president of talent and culture, Lee Vikre. "This award reflects years of strong leadership and the dedicated efforts of our very talented staff."

"These companies truly exemplify what it means to be a good corporate citizen," says Cheryl Green, vice president of marketing for Arizona Business Magazine. "MAC winners consistently show strong leadership, a commitment to the communities in which they operate, and concern for their employees and customers."

In addition, McMurry was selected as one of three finalists for the Leadership Excellence Spotlight Award, honoring the effective leadership of Chairman/Corporate Values Shepherd Preston V. McMurry Jr. and CEO Chris McMurry, whose leadership styles and cultivation of a unique values-based culture have led to tremendous business growth since McMurry was established more than 25 years ago.

McMurry was the only full-service marketing communications firm to be recognized as a Most Admired Company. View the full list of the 43 companies at BestCompaniesAZ.com.

In the past month, McMurry also was named to the Inc. 5000, a list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., and was ranked as the No. 5 Best Small Workplace in the U.S. by the Great Place to Work Institute and Entrepreneur.com.
